Little Feet Childcare Centre believe it is important for our children’s learning to have experiences outside the centre as well where they will learn about their wider local community.
The purpose of any excursion is for educational purposes and should be part of the educational programme. It is therefore essential that these excursions are planned for and carried out in a manner that promotes safety for any teachers and children involved.

- If permission is not given by parent the child will remain in the centre with at least 2 other staff members.
- Clear instructions will be given to the children as to what to wear and to bring on the day, as well as trip information including the purpose, place, mean of travel, time of travel and approximate return time.
- When children travel in a car there will be two adults if there are more than 3 children in the car and each child will use an approved child restraint.
