The Management of Little Feet Childcare Centre will ensure efficient administration of the centre and accurate financial accountability. Management will ensure that the funding received is used towards achieving the goals of the centre charter.
- To ensure all Government funding that is received from the Ministry of Education and Department of Work and Income is audited yearly and is available upon request.
- Ensure all money payable to the centre is properly collected.
- Ensure full control is maintained over the assets owned by the centre.
- To produce a budget prior to the end of the financial year, to ensure objectives in the centre charter can be carried out.
- To have in place systems, this can clearly show where the government funding has been spent.
- To keep records of all financial transactions accurate and up to date.
- The licensee will have full authority to sign cheques for the day to day running of the centre.
- All purchases for the centre are to be made on the centres credit card account.
Staff will be consulted about the annual budget, expressing their requirements to ensure the centre charter objectives can be carried out. Staffs will be encouraged to voice their opinions in ways which could benefit the centre in any way possible. Professional development for staffs of the centre will be part of this budget.
Parents will sign in and out on the attendance sheet every day on arrival and departure of their children. This will confirm the child’s attendance.
At the end of each month, the official roll will be sited by parents and signed to acknowledge their child’s attendance and absences.
Accurate day-to-day records of financial matters will be kept and audited.
